Testimonials
These reflections come from people who have taken the time to study, question, and personally weigh the teachings of The Great News and the work we present at Yeshuans. It’s essential that we don’t filter for only the positive; instead, we share honest responses, good and bad, from individuals who have genuinely engaged with the material. We welcome anyone who has earnestly heard us out to give a genuine review of our work – if it is critical, we simply ask that you give thorough explanation of the why behind your criticism.

Danny’s Testimonial Points:
Danny was a lifelong LDS member who, after reading the Gospel of John with fresh eyes, experienced a profound spiritual awakening: God “opened his eyes,” and he surrendered fully to Christ. He now believes Jesus alone is sufficient, apart from institutional religion, and that true worship is found in spirit and truth – not in ordinances, temples, or priesthood systems. His life’s mission is to help others (especially Mormons) find an authentic relationship with Jesus, and he’s grateful to join forces with TGNN/Yeshuans to support that work.
Todd’s Testimonial Points:
The ministry stands out for its honesty, humility, and freedom—it avoids institutional bias, honors each person’s God-given agency, and never tells people what they “must” believe. Instead, it presents what is most reasonable from decades of sincere study. Its focus on Christ’s fulfilled victory makes material religion unnecessary, freeing people from fear-based systems, judgment, and the pressure to change others. This perspective has reshaped Todd’s faith, replacing religious burden with peace. The result in his life has been love—a deeper, more biblically grounded love for God and all people. He credits the ministry (and its collected archives) with helping him grow in truth, faith, and genuine Christlike love.
Margo’s Testimonial Points:
After leaving a long Mormon marriage, Margo entered a season of deep searching and discovered a personal, transforming relationship with God the Father and Christ. Surrendering to God has completely changed her life, His love is now her foundation, her priority, and the only thing she truly wants to seek. Through prayer, worship, and Scripture, she is learning what faith and love really are, and she has chosen to live her life centered on those two things above all else.
Joel’s Testimonial Points:
Joel, a long-time pastor, came to fulfilled eschatology through years of personal study, finding clear biblical connections that reshaped his understanding of the “last days.” Though embracing this view cost him his job, marriage, and stability, he remains convinced that Christ’s coming was fulfilled in the first century and that we now live in the everlasting New Covenant. He is committed to helping others see the biblical story clearly and partnering with TGNN/Yeshuans to share this fulfilled truth with humility and freedom.
Kim’s Written Testimonial:
I first encountered Shawn’s teachings in May 2024 through the Heart of the Matter reboot “Full Circle.” At the time, I was burdened by a self-imposed pressure to “save” my non-believing family, often trying to artificially insert my views into conversations. Listening to that episode lifted a weight off my shoulders I didn’t even know I was carrying. I realized I didn’t need to have a “corner on the truth” to follow Christ; I could simply let go and love.
This shift has been a healing bridge in my marriage. As my husband and I navigated our faith journeys, admitting that we could be wrong allowed us to find common ground without the friction of our prior conditioning. I’ve learned that God judges the heart rather than correct doctrine or exact execution, and that we aren’t called to fix people, but to love them.
I am so grateful to Shawn and Delaney for their dedication and for the ways this ministry has changed and liberated my life. That liberty is leading me from performance, perfectionism, and pride to embrace the finished work of Yeshua. I am becoming grounded in my own faith—ready to share the hope within me when asked (1 Peter 3:15)—while focusing on loving others where they are and letting God take care of the rest.

I first encountered Shawn’s teachings when he rebooted Heart of the Matter: Full Circle — Defending Mormons in May of 2024; at the time, I had no idea what to expect and no prior context for his theology or Preterism at all.
I remember I was on a family trip with relatives who are not religious or believers in God. I was deep in a traditional Protestant/Evangelical mindset, feeling an immense pressure to “save them from hell.” I felt I had to artificially insert my religious viewpoints into conversations, operating from a place where I felt my views were superior.
The Moment of Liberation
Listening to that episode mid-trip changed everything. I felt a massive burden lift. The realization that there was a possibility that Christ had returned—and that there was such a thing as subjective Christianity—opened a door for me. I realized I didn’t have to have a “corner on the truth” to be a follower of Christ.
Through this, I realized I didn’t have to do “missionary work,” evangelize, or shove anything in anyone’s face. I came to understand that we can actually do very little to change others if they are not ready for it. Instead, I could just be more grounded in my own faith, trusting that our God judges the heart rather than perfect doctrine, because He understands exactly where people are in their journey.
I saw that I could simply be available to share my story if and when I was asked, providing a reason for the hope within me rather than trying to fix or change others. This shift is beautifully captured in the Bible:
> “But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect.” — 1 Peter 3:15

Tools for the Journey
While I am still exploring eschatological views, I am trying not to “land” on any specific doctrinal position. I’ve recognized that when we get settled in feeling like we have the only truth, it becomes a barrier to love. It has even helped me—though this part is still a work in progress—to stop judging those from my prior faith context so harshly and to respect the way they choose to worship.
I cherish the focus on faith, personal relationship with Yeshua, and the invitation to walk a personal, subjective path by the Spirit.
The resources provided by this ministry have been instrumental in my growth including:
* The Books: A to Z: From Mormonism to Biblical Christianity and Revelations on Revelation have provided such clarity.
* The Yeshuans AI: This tool has been a gift. As I come upon difficult spots in the Bible, I can go to the AI tool and it searches their vast library to show the Yeshuans’ perspective balanced with other considerations.
* Bible Study: I recently finished a “Bible in a Year” challenge, and I appreciate the emphasis on studying the Bible with the Spirit, stripped of as many preconceived lenses as possible.
Healing in Marriage
Perhaps most importantly, this shift has been a profound blessing in my marriage. As my husband and I were going through our faith journeys, we struggled with not being on the same page. Exploring these perspectives together—considering possibilities that didn’t rub up against our prior conditioning—allowed us to find common ground. Admitting that we could be wrong became a healing bridge for us.
Final Thoughts
I am so grateful to Shawn and Delaney for their dedication and for the ways this ministry has changed and liberated my life. That liberty has led me to seek to let go of performance and perfectionism and embrace the finished work of Yeshua on my (and the whole world’s) behalf.
