Body Building
AI-generated summary
Central Claim: McCraney argues that because Jesus has achieved total victory and the Kingdom of God is eternally increasing (fulfilled eschatology), believers should stop viewing theological differences as markers of spiritual acceptability. Instead, all Christian traditions—Calvinism, Mormonism, Catholicism, Protestantism, and even cults—serve functional purposes in God's plan, like notes in a musical composition.
Biblical Basis: The argument rests on Yeshua's "total victory over all things" and the Kingdom's perpetual increase, positioning all things within God's sovereignty.
Yeshuan Perspective: This reflects subjective faith prioritizing peace, love, and understanding over doctrinal purity. Since perfect beliefs are impossible and denominationalism inevitable, McCraney advocates replacing certainty-based faith with grace-based acceptance of others' sincere beliefs. This liberates adherents from judging non-believers as enemies to truth, reframing doctrinal diversity as purposeful within God's comprehensive design.

Body-Building and Beliefs

Because of my eschatology I used to think that only people who believed like me were acceptable to God in the things they did. Because of Yeshua’s total victory over all things and the Kingdom of God increasing forever, and because all go to a heavenly destination now (with some entering the New Jerusalem on high) and others choosing to remain outside of it, I am of the opinion that most people, perhaps even all, do actually contribute to this increasing Kingdom . . . in one way or another.
Viewing Differences in Beliefs
So, instead of seeing the Calvinists as enemies to truth perhaps I can begin to see them as providing a function in the world – whatever God deems that function to be. And instead of seeing the Mormon church as diabolical and Satanically run, since Jesus has had the victory, perhaps I should see it as useful – again, in whatever way the Lord God Almighty deems it so. The same could be said of Roman Catholicism, Orthodoxy, Protestantism and even the cults. Perhaps all of them, like notes on the piano – some melodic and harmonic and others dissonant and off-putting, lend to a balanced piece of music in the ear of God.
Embracing Differing Perspectives
This attitude, again possible by and through the victorious work of Jesus, liberates those who agree and enables them to see others and the things that they believe and do in a more positive light, and to see otherwise good people misguided by Men as purposeful, and therefore ultimately beneficial, to the Kingdom of God. We are NEVER ever going to rid ourselves of doctrinal differences and denominationalism. Men and women are always going to disagree about the things of God.
Conclusion on Beliefs
Because of this, perhaps we can assume that a perfect set of beliefs in this life is impossible for any one person to possess, and so therefore something better ought to step in and take hold of the lives of those who are His – Maybe it's peace, love and understanding and giving all people the benefit of the doubt?
