The Four L's and The Four Traits

Maturing in Christ without the Influence of Organized Religion

The Four L’s and the Four Traits presents a biblically grounded framework for spiritual maturity from the Yeshuan perspective that is deliberately independent of organized religion. Drawing on decades of study and teaching, the book outlines a simple but rigorous model for growing in Christ through personal responsibility, humility, and direct engagement with truth. Rather than offering doctrine or institutional guidance, it frames spiritual development as a lived process shaped by choice, reason, and inward conviction.

The book introduces two interrelated movements. The Four L’s (Light, Learning, Love, and Liberty) describe a continual “wash cycle” through which individuals mature in faith and action. The Four Traits explore how deeper spiritual clarity often emerges through hardship, disorientation, and testing. Together, these cycles provide a practical and experiential approach to living in spirit and truth—emphasizing freedom, love, and personal accountability over external authority or religious systems.

While we are going to teach the Four L’s in chronological order – Light, Learning, Love and Liberty and suggest that they actually do unfold in that order, but once they are in place (so to speak) the order is erased, and they are intermixed by the Spirit of Christ in any order as that is when they are collectively working in unison and harmony together.

We believe that understanding these principles well adds to the reason we seek and pursue them, and that in the end, when they are effectively in operation, any believer is walking in harmony with the overall message of the biblical text – meaning they are walking in the manner God desires.

I want to explain something super important to our philosophy of the faith, derived after forty years of searching, testing, doubting, study and bringing it all together in a comprehensible manner –

Because of the complexity and the amount of the information involved in describing what I am about to describe I am going to plainly state some points our research (found in long exhaustive teachings) supports.

Of course, there is more than just Light, Learning, Love and Liberty to being a disciple of Christ, but we might see the four L’s as a Yeshuan’s “operational manual” for everyday living as we seek to “walk and discover things of Light and things in the Light.”

Once we choose the light we embark on learning all that we can about Him in Spirit and Truth.  This learning is what increases our faith, which is primary place from which all things flow. Understand clearly, the Four L’s are pre-requisites to right faith, which will become more and more apparent as we progress through the course together.

Right faith, verses bad faith or misguided or misplaced faith, is important as it lends to an individual knowing, trusting and worshipping God – essentials to being in a right relationship, which is essential to right perspective.

Think of it this way – to walk by poor or bad faith or good and genuine faith is going to be predicated on the Light and Learning the individual has received and embraced which then leads to the type of love and liberty they possess and experience.

Wrong light and wrong learning will create wrong love and false liberty.  So, our efforts to understand the Four L’s are truly focused on growing in faith and ultimately love.

With our faith increased by virtue of learning – testing all things and holding fast to what is good, we are then equipped to Love, a term that is directly founded on the faith we have gathered by learning in the Light.

This love is not about feelings – it is all about action – selfless, sacrificial, insufferable action toward God and Man.  The Love section will have the most parts because that is the goal on this earth for His children – but it is not the end goal – it is only the desired way God wants for us.

The end goal is personal Liberty – which is more of a direct result of our learning in the light to love as He would want us to love.  We maintain that Liberty is the desired end of why God wants us to love as He loved – and we boldly suggest that in terms of this mortal life there is not a better approach to personal liberty that pursuing after these things from the heart.  Not sex.  Drugs. Money. Power or fame – they all pale in comparison to what?

To the Liberty all believers can experience by pursuing Learning in and about the Light and choosing to love.

So, test everything we are going to share with you – trust nor fear neither me nor anyone else but YAHAVAH and see for yourself what the Four L’s and Four Traits are all about.  We will talk about the Four Traits after we conclude covering the Four L's.

So, let’s walk toward . . . the Light.
